W.A.S.P. is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1984 by frontman Blackie Lawless. Their 1984 debut album featured the hit single "Animal (F*** Like a Beast)" and established their shock rock theatrical style. The band's 1986 album "Headless" continued their provocative imagery and heavy metal sound.
