Profanatica is an American black metal band from New York formed in 1991, known for their raw, lo-fi sound and controversial anti-religious imagery. The band is fronted by Paul Ledney (also of Black Curse) and has been influential in the underground black metal scene, particularly for their primitive production style and blasphemous aesthetic.
