Pixies is an American alternative rock band formed in Boston in 1986, known for their innovative approach to punk and post-punk that influenced grunge and alternative rock throughout the 1990s. The band consisted of Black Francis (vocals), Joey Santiago (guitar), Kim Deal (bass), and David Lovering (drums), and they disbanded in 1991 before reuniting in 2004. The Rialto Theatre is a historic venue in Tucson, Arizona where Pixies has performed multiple times throughout their career.
