Pavement is an American rock band formed in Stockton, California in 1989, led by singer-songwriter Stephen Malkmus. The band became one of the most influential groups of the 1990s alternative rock scene, known for their slacker rock aesthetic and critically acclaimed albums like 'Slanted and Enchanted' (1992) and 'Brighten the Corners' (1997). After breaking up in 2003, they reunited for tours and occasional recordings starting in 2010.
