Orville Peck is a country musician based in Canada. He wears a frequently fringed mask and has never shown his face publicly. He released his debut album Pony in 2019, which EP Show Pony rode the curtails of the following year. His sophomore album, Bronco, was released on April 8, 2022. After returning from a mental health break, on August 2, 2024 he released his third, Stampede — a duets album via Warner Records. Peck describes it as a standalone "concept album." Peck was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and lived there most of his life. As a child, Peck did not receive any formal music training; he taught himself music by playing on an acoustic guitar and an old Casio keyboard.
