Kamerra Jodale Franklin (born June 7, 1987), known professionally as Kam Franklin, is a Grammy Award-winning American singer-songwriter, performance artist, activist, writer and orator. She is known as the lead singer for the Houston soul group The Suffers, but also releases solo material. She began her career as a backing vocalist and dancer and has toured with Jim James, Ruthie Foster, Margo Price and the Very Best.
