Foghat are an English rock band formed in London in 1971. The band are known for incorporating electric slide guitar into their music. Their best known song is the 1975 single "Slow Ride". They have released 17 studio albums, including eight gold albums and one platinum, along with a double platinum live album. The band has experienced several line-up changes but continues to record and perform. The original line-up consisted of Dave Peverett on guitar and vocals, Tony Stevens on bass, and Roger Earl on drums, all of whom had previously been members of Savoy Brown. Rod Price joined on guitar and slide guitar after leaving Black Cat Bones.
