Diplo is an American DJ and music producer born Thomas Wesley Pentz in 1978, known for pioneering the trap and moombahton genres and for his work with Major Lazer and Jack Ü. He has produced and remixed tracks for numerous artists and founded his own record label, Mad Decent, while becoming one of the most prominent figures in electronic dance music.
